Indian head massage is based on the ayurvedic system of healing which has been practiced in India for over a thousand years.  The aim of Indian head massage is to release the stress that has accumulated in the tissues, muscles and joints of the head, face, neck and shoulders. 

Indian head massage is especially good for relieving stress, tension, fatigue, insomnia, headaches, migraine and sinusitis. 

What happens when I come for a treatment?

In your first session I will carry out a consultation to establish your past and present health, diet and lifestyle.  This consultation is an essential part of your treatment as it allows me to find out about any health problems you have and design a treatment plan tailor-made to address your specific needs.  The consultation will take around 10-20 minutes.  I do not charge for the consultation, it is FREE!

A full treatment takes around 50 minutes.  You will be treated sitting upright in a chair.  I will use a blend of oils tailored to your specific needs.  You will only need to remove your top (so I can treat your shoulders and upper back) and I will give you a towel to put around you.

For a 30 minute treatment you will remain fully clothed and I will not use oils.  This makes it an ideal lunch-hour treatment - or if you need to go somewhere else straight after. 

During the treatment I will use a range of different specialised movements over the upper back, neck, arms, shoulders, scalp and face. 

How will I feel after treatment?

Most people feel extremely invigorated and energised after having an indian head massage treatment.  This makes it the perfect lunch time treat or after work pick-me-up!

I will give you aftercare advice at the end of your treatment to ensure that you get maximum and lasting benefits.

Indian Head Massage with Reiki (75 mins) 

This is my most requested treatment!  Carried out with the client lying on a massage table.  This is an intensely calming treatment - ideal for relieving stress and tension.
